Born on the Chairlift
BeerSki started the way the best ski ideas do: on a chairlift, with a pocket beer that came out dented, foamy, or exploded.
How It Started
Raleigh Leslie grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington, riding the ski bus to Snoqualmie at 12 and the Crystal bus every weekend with his older brother until they could drive. Years of mountain days later, he was done with exploded pocket beers. He was especially done after the time he broke a rib falling on a can in his jacket pocket.
In 2021 he went looking for a better way to bring one along for the chair. Nothing on the shelf was right, so he built his own. A single strap became a double hook-and-loop strap, then a collapsible can sleeve, and every version got a little better. People started stopping him at the top of the lift, at the bottom and halfway down a run, asking where they could get one.
Handmade, Every One
Every BeerSki is still made by hand by the guy who invented it. Raleigh’s background is in design, development and production, which turns out to be exactly what it takes to dream up a product, build it and get it out the door. Thicker straps and a beefier sleeve became the PRO, and the refining never really stopped. Orders ship from Gig Harbor, WA.
Why “BeerSki”
BeerSki is the ski-first sibling of Beer Binding: same hands, same handmade build, dressed for the chalet. It’s not serious gear and doesn’t pretend to be. It’s a little piece of après you carry up the mountain, the way skiing should feel: fast, loud, a little flashy, and always ending in a toast.
Prost.
